Will it record while the car is parked?
With parking mode and a hard-wired installation, yes — the camera wakes on motion or impact. Voltage protection is part of the fitting so it cannot flatten the battery.
How long is footage kept on the card?
The card loops, overwriting oldest first, so the retention period follows card size and resolution. Important clips should be locked or exported — which is exactly what the handover training covers.
Can you fit a whole fleet?
Yes, on a schedule that keeps vehicles working — usually in batches, with identical settings on every unit so footage is consistent.
Do cheap dash cams not do the same job?
Not in this climate. Consumer units commonly fail in sustained UAE heat, and a camera that stopped recording last month is worth nothing on the day you need it.
